She had been renting a small apartment for ten years and when the landlord complained, the owner said she would give her away. At the time Linda was sitting in the courtyard in the sun, and giave the stern landlord a gaze full of expectation out of her sky-blue eyes. ‘Awwww, she has Germanic eyes, she can stay,’ he drawled drily.” Linda was bred to Ilderim v Flamberg and had 1 brindle and 8 merles in 2 litters. After the second litter, the breeder took Linda to a “harl-bred black” supposedly with “very different results”. The black was Basso v Nurburgring, and the result was a harlequin litter, with Domino, Dorli, Dornroschen, Dideldei (harls), Dolch (black) and Degen (brindle).
